I don’t know about you, but if my child told me they were pregnant, I’d get medical care for them immediately. I wouldn’t ignore the whole situation. This stuff is NEEDED. Fo your daughters health, and her child’s. You can’t condemn your child for making a mistake. For doing something that 90% of everyone in her school is doing. It wasn’t peer pressure, it was love.
You don’t know what’s happening in her body. A mother knows. Whether you’re 16, or 25, a mother knows. You can’t go into denial and do nothing about the situation. You can’t ignore it. You can’t stop it. Maybe it wasn’t your ideal life for her, but it happened. And you can’t do anything about it. Going through it all is hard enough, and not having your support (quite the antithesis of ‘support’) makes it 10x’s harder. It makes it unbearable. You have no idea what she’s thinking or how she’s hurting. How she thinks on a day to day basis of leaving. Not just your godforsaken house. But the world.
Stop assuming you know what’s going on in her life.
